Patrick Lavoie

Composer

Patrick Lavoie, Composer and multi-instrumentalist from Lac St Jean, works mainly on music for  Film and for TV Commercials. His recent work includes original soundtracks for Season 1 and 2 of the tele-series Blue Moon (by Yves-Christian Fournier) as well as for the tele-series Feux (by Claude Desrosiers). In January 2015, his soundtrack for the Martin Talbot film Henri Henri (2014), was nominated for Best Original Score at the Canadian Screen Awards. We can also hear Patrick playing his own compositions in Feature films such as Tout est parfait (Yves-Christian Fournier, 2008) and Noir (Yves-Christian Fournier, 2015).

Patrick has also composed and interpreted music for short films such as Le Poids du vide, Sale Gueule and Cité entre les murs (Alain Fournier) as well as many TV commercials (Via Rail, IGA, Mondial de l'auto à Paris, STM, Loto-Québec, Ministère de la santé, SAQ, SAAQ, Mastercard, Videotron, Subway, Bell...). He recorded strings for the award winning music 19-2 by Nicolas Maranda and for the Project Fontarabie, by Julien Mineau. His debut album Mycelium, of the neoclassical genre, has been praised by the critics. It's tracks, as well as his film soundtracks, are available for download on all major platforms including iTunes and Bandcamp.
